Book character you’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Can I be stuck in an elevator with author George Saunders instead? His book “A Swim in a Pond in the Rain” is a masterpiece of writing instruction. I’m also a member of his Story Club newsletter group where he explores what makes a story compelling. It’s instructive and generous and wonderful and I’d love to tell him that in person.
