THE LOCKHART WOMEN IN SEATTLE

NEXT TIME YOU’RE IN SEATTLE…

Stop by the beautiful public library downtown. They not only have copies of The Lockhart Women on their shelves, they also have invited Seattle-area fiction authors to share their short stories in their very cool Short Story Dispensers.

Two stories by my friend Stephanie Barbé Hammer were selected. Stephanie is a 6-time Pushcart Prize nominee in fiction, nonfiction and poetry as well as a wonderful teacher and generous human being.

Check out this video that explains how the dispenser works. You can choose a one-minute, three-minute or five-minute read. We printed out the one-minute read because we were in a hurry to buy the ducks and the sticker from the gift shop. The story was terrific and so was the shopping.
